The David Brown first produced an agricultural tracked tractor in 1942 with the DB 4 which was powered by a 38 h.p. Dorman diesel engine and a five speed gearbox. The Trackmaster 30 which was a crawler version of the Cropmaster replaced the DB 4 during 1950. Both TVO and Diesel fuel versions were available, the petrol/tvo version was initially designated the TAK 3 (Tracklayer Agricultural Kerosene), the diesel version was known as the TAD 3 (Tractor Agricultural Diesel). |
