Marshall Model M Tractor 1939

The Marshall M was an improved version of the Marshall 12/20 a tractor based on the Lanz Bulldog design.  The Model M was first produced in 1938.  The engine was a single cylinder two-stroke horizontal unit with a 6.5/8" bore by 9" stroke with a maximum engine speed of 700 r.p.m. the engine design proved so popular and reliable it was produced for the next 22 years basically unchanged.  Due to Marshall's commitment to more important war work only a few Model M tractors were built during World War II.
