The David Brown 900 Tractor was launched at the 1956 Smithfield Show. The David Brown house colour of hunting pink together with a blue radiator grill and wheels made a distinctive combination. The engine options were a choice of a 37 h.p. paraffin or either a 40 or 45 h.p. petrol engine, and a 40 h.p. diesel version which was one the first diesel tractors fitted with a distributor type injection pump. An improved version of the 900 with duel category TCU hydraulics and live two-speed power take-off was introduced in 1957. The David Brown 900 was replaced by the 950 in 1958. |
