David Brown 880 Implematic Tractor 1965

The David Brown 880 Implematic Tractor was launched in 1961.  It was powered by a four cylinder diesel engine of 42.5 h.p., transmission was via a six forward and two reverse speed gearbox.  Category I and II hydraulic linkage was standard together with differential lock, Live-drive power take-off and hydraulics were optional at extra cost.  The 880 had the distinction of being the first tractor with a negative earth electrical system to comply with European standards.
