David Brown 1212 Hydrashift Tractor

The David Brown 1212 Hydrashift Tractor replaced the David Brown 1200 Selectamatic in 1971, it was powered by the same four cylinder direct diesel injection 72 h.p. unit but a very different transmission.  The Hydrashift transmission gave twelve forward and four reverse speeds provided by four clutchless change-on-the-move gears in each of three forward ratios plus the reverse ratio.  The 1212 series of tractors were produced until 1980 when the David Brown-Case 90 series was introduced.
